Program Registration:
March Programs and Activities
Program Registration: Registration for next month’s programming begins on the last Friday of the month. Registration for April’s programming begins on Friday, March 26th. If you are registered for a program and cannot come, please call us ASAP, as we have a waiting list for most programs.
The themes for the March Parent +Tot Family Interaction Program are;
Monday, March 01: In Like a Lion? Out like a Lamb?
Monday, March 08: St. Patrick’s Day
Monday, March 22: Spring Arrives
Monday, March 29: Easter
The program is held on Mondays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. All families are welcome to attend. Please remember to sign up for next week’s snack on the sheet provided on the table located at the front entrance.
March Break Youth Program
The centre will host a Youth Program for children ages 5 yrs-12yrs (attending public school) during the March
Break. The program will be held on Monday, Tues. and Thurs. from the hours of 9:00 am -12:00 pm. The two facilitators for the
Youth Program will provide a variety of theme based activities that will include games, sport related activities, a nutritional snack etc...
Registration is required to participate in the program and parents have the option of remaining onsite during the program or leaving and returning to pick their child up at 12:00 pm. If you chose to leave your child and return to pick your child up it will be necessary to fill out the appropriate forms. To register or if you require more information please call
443-9569. Registration begins on Friday, February 26th.
ALPHABET SOUP
Nutrition and Literacy Based Parent/Child Program
Fairview Family Resource Centre is excited to offer their first Alphabet Soup Program beginning on March 19th until April 30th. This six week nutrition and literacy based program teaches preschoolers (aged 2-5) and their parents’ the basics of healthy eating through the love of reading, rhyme and song. Each week parents and their children participate in interactive sessions based on different food related themes...
The dates for the six week sessions will be;
Friday, March 19th, 26th and April 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30
Time: 12:30 pm -2:30 pm

Parenting Program Thurs. Mar.11-9:30 AM
“Easier mornings, supper and bed times”
Are you a parent or caregiver who finds mornings, supper and bedtimes are often a challenge? Come share your ideas and experiences to help make those challenging days run a little smoother.
Public Health Drop In
We would like to inform our participants of the changes to the Public Health Drop In Program. Public Health will continue to facilitate their drop in clinic here at Parent ‘n Tot on a bi-weekly basis. Parents are welcome to drop in on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month to visit with the Public Health nurse. You may have your baby weighed or address any concerns that you may have regarding your baby’s development. The information sessions previously held on the second Tuesday of each month will be changed to a quarterly basis.
WOMEN”S GROUP
Thursday, March 25th at 9:30 am.
Guest facilitator will be Jodi Sullivan, a Career Counseling student. This interactive workshop will provide participants the
opportunity to develop skills that will assist them in their future job search or career decision making planning.
Topics will include, “Identifying factors that relate to family that influence job search and career decisions, Career options that
may allow you to work from home or otherwise balance career and family and defining your transferrable and employable skills.

SWAP ‘N SHOP
HOURS OF OPERATION
Tuesdays 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
We will be accepting ongoing donations for our Swap ‘n Shop.

Did you know that Fairview Family Resource Centre has partnered with the ISIS to host English Speaking Classes here onsite. We are currently looking for volunteers to help welcome the families to the centre, become familiar with the programs and activities that we offer and to help them become more informed about Fairview and the surrounding areas. If you would like to help in any of these capacities, please give us a call at 443-9569.
